The Quincy Christmas Parade takes place on Sunday, November 27th. It runs through the center of Quincy down Hancock Street and ends in North Quincy. We HIGHLY recommend arriving at the gym a bit early to avoid the road closures and the general hassle. We apologize for this inconvenience but we're stuck between a rock and a hard place with the NCAA blackout periods for recruiting. The parade begins at 12:30pm just south of Quincy center and ends at North Quincy High School. We expect everything to be cleared up by the time the Playdate tryout has finished around 5:30pm or so. Dress warmly. Its a public school gym that will have been closed up for a few days for the holiday. Because its a new school we're hoping the heat works great but wear layers so you can regulate your own comfort level. Food. The new Quincy High School is strictly forbidding any food or coolers in the gym. You will not be allowed to bring them in. You can not bring Gatorade or coffee into the gym. You can only have water. Food will be sold in the high school for both the participants and their parents during the tryouts. If you bring a cooler it will have to be left in your car until you need it. There are areas in the lobby where you can eat. At Quincy High School we are still within walking distance of the T. You can easily walk to the Quincy Center T Station and get on the trains to Boston if you want to spend some time shopping while the girls are trying out.
